Tank Requirements

• Minimum Tank Size: 55 gallons (approx. 200 liters) is required for a small group. A 75-gallon tank or larger is recommended for community setups to manage territorial behavior.

• Substrate: Use fine sand. Peacock cichlids are natural sifters; coarse gravel can damage their delicate mouths and gills.

• Decorations: Provide a rocky environment with numerous caves and hiding spots to help males establish territories and reduce aggression.
